When you see him, he reminds you of ALLAH!
When you sit with him, it increases your IMAÂN
When she speaks to you, it increases your KNOWLEDGE!
When you see his actions, you remember the AKHIRA!
The heart, in its journey to Allah, Majestiyc is He, is like that of a bird;Love is its head, and fear and hope are its two wings. When the head and two wings are sound, the bird flies gracefully; if the head is severed, the bird dies; if the bird loses one of its wings, it then becomes a target for every hunter or predator.”
Ibn al Qayyim
“I looked at all friends and did not find a better friend than safeguarding the tongue. I thought about all the dresses but did not find a better dress than piety. I thought about all sorts of wealth but did not find a better wealth than contentment in a little. I thought of all sorts of good deeds but did not find a better deed than offering good advice. I looked at all types of sustenance but did not find a better sustenance than patience.”
- Umar (radiAllahu ‘anhu)
Prophet Muhammad (s) and Khadija (rah)
A’isha (rah) reported: Never did I feel jealous of the wives of Allah’s Apostle (s) but in the case of Khadija (rah), although I did not (have the privilege to) see her. She further added that whenever Allah’s Messenger (s) slaughtered a sheep, he said: Send it to the companions of Khadija (rah); I annoyed him one day and said: (It is) Khadija only who always prevails upon your mind. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (s) said: Her love had been nurtured in my heart by Allah Himself. [Muslim]
Narrated Abu Huraira (ra): Jibreel (Gabriel) came to the Prophet (s) and said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! This is Khadija coming to you with a dish having meat soup (or some food or drink). When she reaches you, greet her on behalf of her Lord (i.e. Allah) and on my behalf, and give her the glad tidings of having a Qasab (palace in Paradise) wherein there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue (trouble).’
The marriage between Muhammad (s) and Khadija (rah) was truly one of inspiration. Khadija was a wife we should all aspire to be – one who comforts, loves, supports and believes in her husband when no one else will.
